![]() ![]() ![]() Warning that I'm significantly less savvy than many NAS users. So: just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation and if they've got an elegant and stable solution? There doesn't seem to be a ton of demand for such a thing I realize the community is small. but I'd prefer to a) be able to upload more or less continuously and b) be able to DL when I'm away from home without being a dreaded non-sharer. It tended not to do that when the files were on the same computer.įor now I've been trying to remember not to run Soulseek when I'm not at home. (I also share my completed folder which is on the local drive, but that's a paltry gesture, nothing stays in there long.) Also the client (Qt) wants to crash every time I move stuff around and need to re-index these large share folders. Recently I've switched over my media library to a NAS (Qnap) and now do my Slsk shares via a mapped network drive, but the setup is awkward - I'm still running it on a computer that I take to work every day, so that mapped connection breaks often. by middle-of-the-road I mean I don't have an elite, impeccably organized and well-tagged collection but I do share freely and try not to be a dick. Hi all, been a middle-of-the-road Soulseek user since early days (anyone else an Audiogalaxy refugee?) and still prefer it to private trackers in many ways.
